Optimization of Laundry Transaction Management Using an Android-Based POS Application (Case Study: Mommy Laundry)

Abstract


Rumah Cuci Momy, a laundry service located in Cirebon, Indonesia, faced operational challenges due to manual processes in transaction recording and customer data management, leading to inefficiencies and potential errors. To address these issues, an Android-based cashier application was developed to automate operations and enhance service efficiency.

   The application was built using the Flutter framework with Dart programming language, enabling a responsive and consistent user interface across Android devices. A prototyping method was employed during development to facilitate iterative design based on user feedback. Firebase was integrated as the backend, utilizing Realtime Database for real-time data synchronization and Authentication for secure user access.

   The final product is a cashier application that automates transaction recording, customer data management, and laundry status monitoring. The implementation of this technology is expected to improve data accuracy, expedite services, and enhance customer satisfaction.
